Stumble Guys is a direct competitor to Fall Guys, shrunk to mobile and made free. Up to 32 players race through obstacle courses, with only a fraction qualifying each round until one winner remains. The format works well on touchscreen — controls are simple (move and jump), the obstacles telegraph well enough to be readable on a small display, and rounds are short enough that losing stings only briefly before you’re queued for another match. Scopely’s acquisition brought visible production improvements and a faster content cadence.

The game leans heavily on cosmetics, and the battle pass model has become more aggressive over time. Premium skins and limited-time bundles appear constantly, and the free track of the pass offers noticeably thinner rewards than the paid one. None of this affects gameplay directly, but it creates a persistent sense of being advertised at. The playerbase has also grown large enough that skill variation in lobbies can feel unfair — some rounds you’re matched against obvious veterans while newer players are still figuring out basic mechanics.

That said, for a free party game this is remarkably well-executed. The chaos is fun, the rounds are snappy, and playing with friends elevates it considerably. It’s not a deep experience, but it doesn’t need to be.

What we like

  • Short rounds and simple controls translate the battle royale format well to mobile
  • Playing with friends makes the chaos substantially more entertaining
  • Consistent content updates keep the map and costume pool fresh

Watch out for

  • Battle pass rewards heavily favor paid tier, free track feels thin
  • Cosmetic push is relentless and wears on casual players
  • Lobby skill matching can be inconsistent, pairing new players against veterans
Verdict: A genuinely fun mobile party game held back slightly by an increasingly pushy monetization layer, but still one of the better free multiplayer options on Android.
